The newest manufacturer to hit the Indian two-wheeler market, Eider Motors is a home grown two-wheeler company based out of the state of Telangana (which is equally new) and aims to become one of the leading motorcycle makers in the country. While the company already has a set-up operational in the south in states including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Bangalore (Karnataka), the nascent automaker has opened its first dealership in Maharashtra in Ulhasnagar, Sector-17 close to Mumbai via Parth Motors.

Taking a big plunge in a mainstream market, Eider Motors is retailing six products comprising of scooters and motorcycles ranging from 107cc-150cc. Starting with the scooters, Eider has two scooters under its belly powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine tuned to produce 7.5 PS of power on both the models. First up is the retro looking Eider Leora that comes with old school European styling while the other scooter Visrah is designed to be on the other end of the spectrum with modern lines and a triangular headlamp cluster reminiscent of the Honda Dio. Expected to be priced very competitively, the Visrah will retail at around Rs. 40,000/- while the retro Leora will retail at around Rs. 50,000/-.

Coming to the motorcycles, Eider Motors’ lineup starts with the Stoic commuter bike that is powered by a 107cc air-cooled engine producing 7.6 PS of power, paired to a 4-speed gearbox. The Stoic is the entry-level offering and competes directly against the TVS Star City+, Honda Dream series and the likes. The other three bikes are powered by the same 150cc engine with 11.5 PS of power but have been designed for different appearances. The Etania 150 commuter is a Bajaj Discover 150 rival and is expected to be priced at around Rs. 65,000/-; whereas the Ruddy is a cruiser motorcycle priced at around Rs. 75,000/-. Lastly, the Dronzer is the more sporty offering pitted against the Pulsar 150 and will also be priced at around Rs. 75,000/-.
