Harley-Davidson dealers are giving out a discount of Rs. 1 lakh on their Street 750 motorcycle range, which is their cheapest offering in India. Priced at Rs. 4.1 lakhs initially, over time the price of the bike shot up to Rs. 5.31 lakhs but it catered to a new and growing segment of bikers.

But with the entry of the Royal Enfield 650 Twins, Harley-Davidson has been forced to bring down the prices of these entry-level motorcycles. The 650 Twins are poised as direct rivals to the Harley Davidson Street 750 and the Street Rod. But what could really make the Royal Enfield the winner between these two is the slash in prices by almost half. The Street 750 is priced at Rs. 5.31 lakhs while the Interceptor 650 is priced from Rs. 2.34 lakhs. The Royal Enfield also brings in a whole lot of new features than its rival.

The discount of Rs. 1 lakh is not all that Harley Davidson dealers are offering. Some dealers are also giving out free jackets and accessories that are made to exclusively complement the biking experience.

The RE 650 Twins are powered by a parallel-twin 650cc engine which outputs a maximum power of 47 HP and torque of 52 Nm. In comparison to this, the Street 750 uses a 750cc V-twin that delivers 68.4 HP and 62 Nm torque. Royal Enfield offers a 3-year warranty on the bikes while Harley Davidson offers just 2 years of warranty.

The new cost of the Harley Davidson Street 750 is tagged at Rs. 4.5 lakhs while the Street Rod comes in with a price of around Rs. 5.5 lakhs. All prices stated are ex-showroom rates. The prices have fallen from Rs. 5.31 lakhs and Rs. 6.51 lakhs respectively.
