Hero MotoCorp discontinues Xtreme & Passion variants

Hero MotoCorp introduced the Xtreme 200S 4V in India recently, which has now replaced the 2-valve variant in their official website as the bike maker discontinues the Xtreme 200S 2V. The updated engine boasts a 6 percent increase in power and generates 5 percent more torque compared to its predecessor.

The 200cc 4 valve oil-cooled OBD2 and E20 compliant engine now produces 19.1 PS at 8000 RPM and 17.35 Nm torque at 6500 RPM. With more power and enhanced fuel efficiency, it made sense to discontinue the older version. The Xtreme 200S 4V comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,41,250/- (ex-showroom).

Hero MotoCorp has taken the Passion Pro off its official website as well, indicating that the model has been discontinued for the time being. However, the Passion Plus and Passion Xtec variants continue to be on sale.

The Passion Pro was available in two variants – Drum and Disc. It was available with a price of around Rs. 85,000/- (ex-showroom). It was powered by a 113.2cc, single-cylinder motor producing 9.02 BHP and 9.89 Nm torque.

Currently, the Indian two-wheeler maker is preparing to launch the much awaited Hero Karizma XMR 210. It is scheduled to launch on 29th August. The new bike is expected to come with a new liquid-cooled 210cc engine producing around 25 BHP.
