Hero MotoCorp has launched the XTEC version of its best-selling motorcycle, Splendor Plus, for a price tag of Rs. 72,900/- (ex-showroom).

The new XTEC variant is packed with many segment-first features such as full digital meter with Bluetooth connectivity, call and SMS alerts, 2 trip meters, real time mileage indicator, low fuel indicator, LED high intensity position lamp, and exclusive graphics.

Additionally, the bike comes with an integrated USB charger, side-stand visual indication cum engine cut-off, Hero’s hyped i3S tech – idle stop-start system, and a unique bank-angle-sensor that cuts-off the engine during a fall. It also gets an integrated USB charging port.

There are 4 new colours on offer – Sparkling Beta Blue, Canvas Black, Tornado Grey, and Pearl White. The exterior design remains the same as before and due to the addition of new embedded features, the instrument cluster alone has got a redesign.

Power comes from the same 97.2 cc BS-VI compliant engine that produces 7.9 BHP at 7000 RPM and 8.05 NM at 6000 RPM. For reference, the BS-III era Splendor used to produce 8.4 HP. Hero is offering a 5-year warranty for the bike.

Every month, the Splendor sells over 2.5 lakh units in India. It has been a part of more than 10 crore households since its inception around 30 years back.

The new Splendor XTEC competes against TVS Sport, Star City Plus, Radeon, Bajaj Platina, CT, Honda CD Dream, and Livo.
