Hero To Enter UK & Europe With VIDA Electric Scooters
Hero MotoCorp will enter the UK and Europe starting this September, marking a major step in its global expansion plans. Starting with the Vida Z electric scooter, Hero will launch its all-electric sub-brand Vida. This move highlights Hero’s growing focus on sustainable mobility and global reach.
The Vida Z debuted at the 2024 EICMA and will spearhead Hero’s European operations. Premium ICE models like the Hero Xtreme 250R will follow it. Hero’s future international lineup includes the upcoming XPulse 421 adventure bike.
Hero will begin its European launch in Germany, France, and Spain, alongside debuting in the United Kingdom. These countries have growing electric vehicle markets and established motorcycle cultures. Hero has already established distribution and commercial agreements across these regions.
Pelpi International S.r.l. will strengthen the brand’s European network by distributing Hero motorcycles in Italy. Hero has active commercial agreements in France and Spain. Hero also benefits from a technology centre already operating in Germany.
In FY2025, Hero’s international business grew 43%, showing strong demand for its products outside India. The company currently operates in 48 global markets. In FY2024, exports contributed 5.7% to Hero MotoCorp’s Rs. 40,756 crore revenue.
Outlook
Hero MotoCorp has already established a strong presence in South Asia and Latin America. The European expansion marks its next phase of global growth. The company is positioning itself as a serious player in electric and premium motorcycles worldwide.
