Hero XPulse 200 adventure bike will come powered by the same 200cc motor as seen in the recently unveiled Xtreme 200R.

2018 Hero Xtreme 200R First Look Review
The Xtreme 200R will be launched in April 2018

Hero recently unveiled the Xtreme 200R sports commuter bike in India to go against the likes of the TVS Apache 200 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200. The Xtreme is powered by an in-house developed 200cc motor which will also find its place in the production version of the XPulse adventure bike. Unveiled as a concept at EICMA last year, the XPulse concept will not only be sharing the powertrain alone but will also borrow the chassis from the Xtreme 200R.

The 200cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine develops 18.1 HP of power and 17.1 Nm of torque. Hero is yet to confirm what changes will the XPulse’s 200cc mill get and has said that details will be revealed closer to the official unveil and launch, which is still some time away. Expect the company to tune the engine to deliver more punch in the lower revs for better off-road ability. Unlike the Impulse which had a taller seat height, the XPulse will have a lower stance making it more accessible to shorter riders as well.

Expected to be unveiled sometime in mid-2018, the production version XPulse is expected to be priced at Rs. 1-1.2 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Hero XPulse will have no direct rivals in India.
