The fully faired Xtreme 200S has more takers than the XPulse line-up.

Hero Xtreme 200S Test Ride Review
The attractive design of the Xtreme 200S has gained more attention

In the last month, we saw Hero launch three new bikes, the XPulse 200 and the XPulse 200T. Launch of the XPulse family was followed by the launch of the Xtreme 200S that is based on the Xtreme 200R. Of the three bikes, the Hero Xtreme 200S seems to come out on top in terms of demand.

Hero dealers have said that the Xtreme 200S has received a better demand due to the attractive design and the attention-grabbing pricing. Although the XPulse models are a tad bit cheaper than the fully-faired 200cc motorcycle, the Indian customers tend to shell out a few thousand rupees more for stylish looks.

The Xtreme 200S and the XPulse bikes are all powered by the same 199.6cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine that churns out 18.4 PS at 8000 RPM and 17.1 Nm at 6500 RPM. The Hero XPulse 200 is priced at Rs. 97,000/- (carb) and Rs. 1.05 lakhs (FI) while the road-focused XPulse 200T is priced at Rs. 94,000/- (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The Xtreme 200S is priced at Rs. 98,500/-.

The sales of the XPulse series has also been good but the Xtreme 200S gets a better reception due to its sporty looks. The adventure and touring properties of the XPulse series is one reason that the bikes have not garnered as many sales as the other bike. The deliveries of the XPulse range is likely to start from mid-June, whereas the Xtreme 200S will be dispatched from the factories sooner.

Hero Xtreme 200S Demand

– The fully faired Xtreme 200S has got more takers than the XPulse models
– The Xtreme 200S although being the costlier bike than the XPulse series has a better demand
– Xtreme 200S factory dispatches are expected to begin soon
