Honda CR-V Special Edition Front
There will be styling and equipment changes on the special edition model

Honda is gearing up to launch the CR-V Special Edition in India. It will be a limited-run model and will be based on the facelifted version of the SUV that is currently on sale overseas.

To priced from Rs. 29.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the special edition CR-V will come with additional features to justify the over Rs. 1 lakh bump in the car’s cost.

These might include active cornering LED headlights, auto fold ORVMs, front parking sensors, powered front passenger seat and hands-free tailgate. Further, the car is also said to come with illuminated door sills and running boards.

For the facelift, Honda CR-V received a different nose with less chrome, darkened elements in the headlights, restyled front and rear bumpers, while the interior will be subjected to some revisions as well.

Like the current model, the Honda CR-V Special Edition will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol motor that puts out 154 PS and 189 Nm and it will come paired with a CVT automatic gearbox. There will be no diesel option.

Only 45 units of the Honda CR-V special edition are set to make it to our shores, which makes owning one a rather interesting proposition.
