Honda NS125 LA Design Patented In India, No Launch Expected In The Country
Honda patented the design of its retro-styled NS125 LA scooter in India. The model features smooth-flowing lines, minimalistic body panels, and old-school appeal, already on sale in select international markets. However, as with previous filings, Honda has not indicated a launch in the country with this registration.
Engine
The NS125 LA uses a 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 9.5 HP and 10NM of torque, comparable to the Activa 125’s 8.4 HP and 10.5 NM of torque output. A telescopic front fork and a single rear shock handle suspension duties, while a 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel support the ride. Overseas variants additionally provide ABS.
Features
Premium touches include a TFT dash with smartphone connectivity, vehicle tracking, tyre-pressure monitoring, and ride data functions. Honda previously patented other models like the Scoopy, NPF125, CB190TR, and CG160 in India without launching them. This latest filing appears to secure intellectual property rights rather than signal an imminent debut.
