Honda PCX125 India

So Honda Motorcycle has just showcased the PCX125 scooter at the 2014 Auto Expo and this scooter has just blown us away with its design. It looks very futuristic and sporty and coupled with the practicality of a 125cc engine this 2-wheeler is going to win the hearts of many. The overall body line of the scooter follows a very curvy design philosophy yet it doesn’t look like it’s just meant for women at all. There are dual headlights up front which have upward-slanted indicators on both the sides. The instrument cluster displays the usual information like speed, fuel, etc. and speedometer does a sweeping action at start-up.

The footrests at the side are very long and seem to be very comfortable to keep your foot on since they are spacious. There is also a tiny back support for the rider in the middle portion of the seat and the seat is big enough to not make the pillion feel uncomfortable. For storage, you have some space below the seat, a small glovebox at the front and the rear shelf can also withstand the weight of a 26-litre storage box. The PCX125 is made up of a tubular steel underbone frame. Honda has added 14-inch tyres with this scooter. There is also a Combined Brake System which includes discs at the front and drums at the back.

Talking about the suspension, there is a 31mm telescopic front fork and a swingarm rear suspension with dual dampers. The Honda PCX125 is powered by a 4-stroke 2-valve SOHC 125cc engine which produces 11.16 HP of power and 11.6 Nm of torque. The scooter is 1917 mm in length, 738 mm in width and 1094 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1305 mm and the maximum fuel tank capacity is 6.2 litres. The front tyre size is 90/90R14 and the rear tyre size is 100/90R14. The Honda PCX125 is available in three colours – Pearl Himalaya White, Asteroid Black Metallic and Seal Silver Metallic.
