What comes to your mind when we say Honda? A Japanese automaker who sells some really good products in our market, right? Now what comes to your mind when you hear Kapil Sharma’s name? A comedian who is known to make people across different age groups laugh. Now, when both of these are combined, we know that it is going to be an incredible combination. So that’s what Honda has done, i.e. roped in ace comedian Kapil Sharma to promote its latest offering, the Mobilio MPV. Honda has come out with a video where the comedian talks about the car and lists its characteristics in a quirky yet attractive manner.

While the video does seem a bit cheesy at times, there is no doubt that the Mobilio is going to grab a lot of eyeballs thanks to this effort. Here, Kapil Sharma acts as a salesman and tries to woo a lady customer while explaining her the features of the MPV. The tagline at the end of the video takes the cake though, “Kapoor Ka Launda, Ya Phir Apna Honda?” Now coming back to the vehicle, Honda will be launching the Mobilio during mid-July. The MPV will be manufactured at the company’s Greater Noida plant.

The Honda Mobilio will borrow its diesel engine from the Amaze and City. This 1.5-litre unit churns out 100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque and it is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine is the 1.5-litre unit that currently powers the City. This engine gives out 119 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque and is mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. The Mobilio will be positioned below the City and it will fight it out with the value-for-money Maruti Ertiga and the overpriced Toyota Innova. The Mahindra Xylo will also face some heat from the Mobilio while non-sellers like the Nissan Evalia and Chevrolet Enjoy won’t be affected.
