Hyundai Santro Asta variant has been spotted in Marina Blue colour ahead of the launch.

The Hyundai Santro first launched two decades ago and it was a huge success. The 2019 Santro will be launched on October 23 and before the launch, the Asta variant of this entry-level car has been spotted in Marina Blue colour. The manufacturer will sell this car in five variants – D-lite, Era, Magna, Asta and Sportz.

The new Santro gets a new grille with chrome surroundings. The bumpers, ORVMs and door handles on the Asta variant are body coloured. This trim does not come with alloy wheels but instead gets steel wheels with wheel caps. The hatchback will be available in seven colour options – Dyna Green, Typhoon Silver, Star Dust, Fiery Red, Polar White, Imperial Beige and Marina Blue.

On the inside, the car comes with dual-tone beige and black coloured dashboard. The instrument cluster is semi-digital and also gets steering mounted controls. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link connectivity. The car also comes with rear AC vents and a rear parking camera. Safety-wise the car gets ABS, EBD and driver’s airbag.

Powering the car is a 1.1-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68.05 BHP and 99 Nm of torque. The petrol variant comes with an option of a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission. Hyundai will be offering a CNG variant too but the output from the engine will be less at 58.2 BHP and 84 Nm.
