Hyundai AX1 Micro SUV Spied
We might soon see test mules of the car running on our roads as well

Hyundai AX1 micro SUV has been spied in South Korea with camouflage and while being transported to a test site.

Dimensions of the small crossover are similar to that of the Grand i10 NIOS, but the raised suspension and the upright stance make it clear that it is of the SUV-type.

It has a similar look to that of the Venue compact SUV, though shrunken by a bit, and sports some nice alloys.

We can expect the design to follow that of the Venue’s, meaning the LED DRLs will sit atop the headlamps, while there will be a large enough glass area and LED tail lights might be offered as well.

The Hyundai AX1 micro SUV spied in South Korea might be the ICE version of the small EV that Hyundai is said to be developing for, among other markets, India.

Features-wise, being a Hyundai product, there will be loads and expect things like a sunroof, digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, among others to be offered.

Powering the car will be the 1.0-litre turbo petrol but with a different state of tune (to the NIOS) and it might come mated to Hyundai’s 6-speed iMT.

To be positioned below the Grand i10 NIOS, the AX1 micro SUV is expected to be showcased at the 2022 Auto Expo and launched the soon after.

Before it hits the market though, Tata is expected to launch the HBX in India, while other rivals will include the the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Mahindra KUV100.
