The Royal Enfield Bullet Classic was a dream come true for many Bulleters when the company announced the bike last year. However many Bullet fans were extremely angry and annoyed when RE decided to ignore its local market and instead launched the bike abroad. But its time to rejoice for 500 Classic lovers because Bike India has posted pictures of the Bullet Classic (snapped at RE authorised workshop in Bangalore). The Indian version is expected to be launched at the upcoming Auto Expo in Jan 2010 and will be very  similar to the UK model.

It will be powered by EFI (fuel injected) 500cc UCE engine with twin-spark technology. The bike would cost Rs 1.4 lakh and has a top whack of around 130kmph. It can happily cruise at 110kmph. There is news that the bikes that are being shown to customers in Bangalore have two different exhausts as well as two different seating positions. Royal Enfield will also be looking at launching the Machismo 350 and 5S Electra with twin-spark and EFI at a later stage. Test bikes are on rounds in different cities like Delhi, Pune, Chennai, so start saving.
