Isuzu D-Max Super Strong Price Is Rs. 8.39 Lakhs, Other Models Updated

Isuzu has launched the D-Max Super Strong in India with a price tag of Rs. 8,38,929/- (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The firm has also updated its D-Max and S-Cab commercial vehicle range to meet BS6 emissions regulations.

D-Max Super Strong comes with a 1710 kg payload and gets all the features that the D-Max family of commercial vehicles get.

With the addition of the new variant, Isuzu now offers the D-Max in several versions such as Regular Cab High-Ride with flat deck, Regular Cab-Chassis, S-Cab Standard-Ride, S-Cab High-Ride and Super Strong.

Having become BS6-compliant, the D-Max and S-Cab variants also received a redesigned grille, bonnet, front bumper and new headlights.

Both models now come with a MID cluster that also has a gear shift indicator. Also, Isuzu says the seats are now wrapped in high-quality fabric and there are height-adjustable seatbelts and a sliding co-driver seat.

Further, safety is improved, says Isuzu, with the addition of the Brake Override System (BOS) which cuts engine power in case of panic braking.

Powering the vehicles is a 2.5 litre 4JA1 diesel engine that is equipped with a variable geometric turbocharger. It puts out 78 HP and 176 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

There are after treatment systems including Lean NOx Trap (LNT), Diesel Particulate Diffuser (DPD) and Passive Selective Catalyst Reduction (P-SCR). The vehicles also come with an electronically controlled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system.

Colour options are limited to just three on both models and they are Splash White, Titanium Silver and Galena Grey.

While the Isuzu D-Max Super Strong price has been revealed, the firm has not mentioned about the price of the other models.

It however stated that there will be an attractive introductory price for the entire D-Max range for the festive season.

Prices listed on the Isuzu website (when this article was written) for the D-Max family is (from) Rs. 7,84,239/- and the S-Cab starts at Rs. 9,82,150/- (both prices ex-showroom, Mumbai).
