Isuzu’s upcoming SUV, the MU-X has been spied ahead of its launch on 11th May this year.
Isuzu’s answer to the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will come this year on the 11th of May in the form of the MU-X, and the car has already been spied in flesh. Isuzu is clear on getting a share of this SUV market, currently dominated by the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner.
The SUV spotted wore a white shade of paint, and was probably the top-spec variant. Up front it’s very much identical to its cousin, the D-Max V-Cross pick-up, except that the MU-X gets a strip of daytime running lights housed near the fog lamps. There’s the usual two-slat chrome grille and projector headlamps. The side and the rear of the car, however have a different story to tell. The blackened pillars, chrome door handles, diamond-cut black alloys, flared wheel arches are all pleasing to the eyes and complement the overall SUV’s design.
Get inside the SUV, and it very well reminds you of the D-Max V-Cross. The dashboard layout, steering wheel, etc. are the same as in its cousin, but the MU-X gets a different colour scheme for the fabric and dashboard. It also gets piano black inserts on the dashboard instead of the silver ones.
Under the hood, Isuzu is likely offer the 3.0-litre diesel motor and expect a 1.9-litre, 150 HP engine at a later point in time. The company will also offer different variants like 4×4 manual, 4×2 auto, etc. The vehicle will be produced at the automaker’s plant in Andhra Pradesh and pricing is going to be very key. We expect Isuzu to price the MU-X aggressively to undercut its rivals.
