Jeep Unveils The Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition, Will Be Limited To Only 30 Units In India
Jeep has unveiled the Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition. This edition pays homage to the vintage Jeeps used by the military. The ’41 Special Edition comes with a special colour option and other accessories as well. This edition is limited to only 30 units in India and priced at Rs. 73.16 Lakh (ex-showroom).
What’s Unique?
The Jeep Wrangler Willys ’41 Special Edition is based on the range-topping Rubicon variant. It has a special ’41 ‘Green’ shade, resembling the Military Green of the original Willys Jeep. On the bonnet, it has a ‘1941’ decal, denoting the year when the original Willys Jeep commenced mass production.
This special edition features powered side steps, revised interior grab handles, all-weather floor mats, and dashcams for the front and rear. The latter can be useful to record and judge the off-road trails. The potential buyers can also get a sunrider rooftop and a side ladder with a roof carrier, adding to the off-road aesthetic, at a premium of Rs. 4.56 Lakh.
Engine
The Wrangler ’41 Special Edition carries the same 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder, producing 270 HP and 400 Nm of torque. The SUV boasts an 8-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4X4 system, which enhances its off-roading capability.
Outlook
The Jeep Wrangler ’41 Willys Special Edition will be available in select dealerships across the country. We expect that the Wrangler Rubicon, combined with the heritage of the original Willys Jeep, will surely generate interest amongst the collectors.
