Kawasaki has launched the 2017 H2, H2 Carbon and H2R in India. Dealers across India have started accepting bookings for the same. The Kawasaki H2 is priced at Rs. 33.30 lakhs, H2 Carbon at Rs. 39.80 lakh and the track only H2R at a whopping Rs. 69.80 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The H2 Carbon is limited to 120 units internationally and the units allotted to India are not yet known.

The Kawasaki H2 is powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder engine that pumps out 207 HP of power and 133.5 Nm of peak torque. Whereas, the same powertrain on the H2R produces a mighty 321 HP of power and 165 Nm of torque. The H2R is 55% more powerful than the road-going version.

For 2017 model year, both the motorcycles come with a host of changes including Kawasaki’s advanced electronics package now equipped with IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), updated KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) and KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Braking System).

Both bikes get a revised exhaust system to meet Euro 4 emission norms. The updated models now come with clutchless downshifts, tailored ergonomics via Kawasaki Genuine Accessories that allow riders to customise their riding position using an ERGO-FIT raised handlebar kit. The Ohlin’s TTX rear shock takes care of the rear suspension, while the updated instrument cluster gets a bank angle display and max bank angle recording function, which is now possible because of the updated IMU. Lastly, there is an updated boost indicator and an IMU indicator.

The limited edition H2 Carbon comes with Kawasaki’s Silver Mirror paint job and features a matte element. In order to distinguish the limited edition even further, Kawasaki has individually numbered each of the H2 Carbon models and the serial number is mentioned on the supercharger plate.
