Kawasaki Launched Versys-X 300, Positioned As A Premium Small-Capacity ADV In The Segment
Kawasaki has launched the Versys-X 300 in India. The small-capacity ADV is priced at Rs. 3.8 Lakh (ex-showroom). Kawasaki offers the Versys-X 300 as a premium option in the segment.
The Versys-X 300 has a smaller-capacity engine in a highly competitive segment. While sharing the DNA from the bigger Versys bikes, the Versys-X 300 faces tougher competition against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure.
Engine
Kawasaki powers the Versys-X 300 with a 296cc parallel-twin engine. It produces 40 HP and 25.7 Nm of torque. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox, equipped with a slipper clutch.
Suspension Capabilities
The Versys gets wire-spoke wheels, measuring 19 inches in the front and 17 inches at the rear. The front suspension consists of 41mm telescopic forks up front and a bottom-link uni-trak gas-charged monoshock setup in the rear. The Versys-X 300 offers 130mm of wheel travel in the front and 148mm in the rear.
Features
However, Kawasaki does not provide tubeless tyres like the ones on the KTM Adventure 390 or as an option on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. There is a 17-litre fuel tank with an upright riding position. The Versys-X 300 features an LCD screen, an analogue tachometer, a wide rear seat, and passenger grips.
