Kawasaki launched the Ninja 1000 at an aggressive price of Rs. 9.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, pan-India) and also has announced a price cut of Rs. 1.32 lakhs on the Z900.

Kawasaki has taken off accessories like the radiator guard, frame sliders and fork sliders from the Z900 and hence has been able to cut the price by Rs. 1.32 lakhs.

First launched in the month of March 2017, the Z900 came with a sticker price of Rs. 9 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Kawasaki Z900 replaced the Z800, what was a tremendous value for money offering from Kawasaki’s stable. However, after the price cut, the Z900 too is not just a good value for money product but at the price it now comes at, is also the most powerful motorcycle in its segment, dishing out 125 horses.

Powering the Kawasaki Z900 is a 948cc liquid-cooled, in-line 4, fuel-injected engine that punches out 125 HP of maximum power and 98.6 Nm of maximum torque. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed transmission.

The Kawasaki Z900 sits on high-tensile steel Trellis frame and comes with a fuel-tank capacity of 17-litres. The Z900 tips the scale at 208 kgs and comes equipped with ABS but misses out on traction control which its rivals have. The Kawasaki Z900 competes against the Ducati Monster 797 and Triumph Street Triple S.
