Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7 tears apart the streets of Los Angeles in this custom made 845 HP 1965 Ford Mustang with All-Wheel Drive.
What will you do if someone gives you a 1965 Ford Mustang to play around with? Well, if you are Ken Block, the legendary DC Shoes owner-turned-racer, you completely trick the muscle car by adding a monstrous V8 engine under the hood that has been tuned to develop 845 BHP of power that sends power to all four wheels via the Dakar spec all-wheel drive transmission from Sadev and comes with a range of toggle switches which also includes making ‘Donuts’. And that’s exactly what Mr. Blockhammer has gone ahead to do with his newest ride the 1965 Ford Mustang, which has now been christened as the ‘Hoonicorn’ and is the star of the Ken’s seventh edition of the Gymkhana series.
Coming way ahead of his Subaru WRX STI and Ford Fiesta days, Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7 takes the levels of insanity to his wildly popular YouTube videos to an all-new level drifting his way through the streets of Los Angeles (LA) in the USA. The 12-minute adrenaline rushing video opens up to the completely custom built Mustang chained to the wall and Ken releasing all the 845 horses to the four wheels that convert rubber into heaps of white smoke. The chain is soon axed with the Hoonicorn left open to prowl on the streets of LA with a heap of smoke everywhere along with the smell of burnt rubber.
Kissing the corners at the apex, the Hoonicorn manages to please the city doing donuts and drifting away at LA’s landmarks including Randy’s donuts and the infamous Hollywood sign. There is also a very close encounter with a lowrider that will surely leave you in much of awe. Before you head on to watch the video below, make sure to go fullscreen with 1080P quality and full volume to make the most of the mind boggling twelve minutes. As for you Mr. Block, when is Gymkhana 8 coming up?
