Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition Price
The iMT will be offered only with the 1.5-litre petrol engine

Kia India is likely to offer the intelligent manual transmission (iMT) on the Seltos and this update is expected to be rolled out this month.

To be offered with the 1.5-litre petrol variant from HTK+ trim and upwards, the Kia Seltos iMT might either be sold alongside the 6-speed manual transmission or replace it.

Introduced in India by Hyundai, the iMT is basically a 2-pedal system that still necessitates manual gearshifts, but takes away the hassle of working the clutch pedal.

Apart from the introduction of the iMT, Kia also plans to add a new variant to the Seltos range. To be called the GTX(O), it will sit at the top of the car’s trim range and will come with a panoramic sunroof.

What’s more, the entire Seltos range is expected to come with additional features by way of the impending update which would also see the compact SUV wear the revised Kia badge.

Earlier this month, Kia had teased the Gravity Edition of the Seltos (read article here). This new variant is expected to be launched on 27th April. This leads us to believe that all of the above-mentioned updates will also be rolled out on the same day.

No changes are expected to be made to the car’s engine range though. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel motors will be left unchanged.
