KTM has been working hard to establish its hold on the Indian market. The Austrian bike manufacturer has been continuously teasing the Indian audience with a spree of bikes to be made available in 2019. One of these products include the KTM Adventure 390, which is one that comes with high expectations. And now, dealers have informed MotorBeam that the Adventure 390 is also likely to come to India in 2019.

Based on the KTM Duke 390, the Adventure 390 will also be powered by the same 373cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. While the Duke 390 can churn out 43 BHP and 37 Nm torque at peak conditions, we can expect the Adventure 390 to be tuned differently to suit its off-road ability. The 6-speed transmission on the KTM Duke 390 will be different from the one which will be used in the 390 Adventure. The bike will also have a larger fuel tank to increase the range of the bike.

The LED headlight looks the same as that on the Duke 390 but is encased differently. There is also a small flyscreen above the headlight which is flanked by clear panels for better wind protection. Both motorcycles will share the same colour TFT instrument console.

The KTM Adventure 390 is likely to be offered in two variants – a road-based variant fitted with alloy wheels and an off-road based variant with spoke wheels. The Adventure 390 is likely to get a dedicated off-road mode. It is set to compete with the BMW G 310 GS.
