KTM Duke 125

Yesterday Bajaj Auto declared its record result with Rs. 1400 crore of profit in the last quarter. Compare that to SBI’s Q4 profit of Rs. 20 crore and you would instantly know why Bajaj Auto is all of a sudden looking bullish. The company has declared its plans to launch the KTM Duke 125 in both India as well as Brazil by December, 2011. However we were expecting the Duke 200 to grace our roads as we don’t have 125cc beginner regulations. Manufactured in Chakan, the KTM Duke has 90% local content. The company has already exported 1800 bikes to Europe and plan to send another 11000 of these machines by the end of this financial year. Bajaj Auto seems to firmly believe in launching various variants of every bike in their stable, which makes us hope for an early launch of the Duke 200. The Duke 200 is powered by a 200cc motor, which produces close to 20hp of power.
