Lexus NX crossover India launch likely as the carmaker is said to be working on bringing the entry-level crossover to India.
Lexus is said to be working on bringing the NX crossover to India. The crossover is already available in international markets as the Lexus NX Turbo with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor that produces 238 HP and as the Lexus NX300h that gets a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain similar to the one that also powers the ES300h sedan.
The Lexus NX facelift was showcased at the Shanghai Motor Show earlier this year which gets an updated suspension tuning along with an adaptive variable suspension system borrowed from the LC500 sports coupe. The exteriors receive some minor styling tweaks while the infotainment system also gets an update.
The Lexus NX will be locally assembled here in India and will take on the Audi Q3, Mercedes GLA and BMW X1. The Lexus NX will be the entry-level SUV from Lexus once it is launched.
Bringing the NX to India will help Lexus to expand its portfolio of cars, and in-turn reach a wider audience but pricing the car right plays a key role in its success in the sub-continent.
