Mahindra is planning to add more equipment to the KUV100, TUV300 and Scorpio. Mahindra recently conducted a roadshow to showcase some new age features like Android Auto, Connected Apps, EcoSense and Emergency call that it recently introduced in the XUV500.

All these features come integrated to the touchscreen infotainment system. The Bolero maker also added a new Lakeside Brown colour to the XUV500. Talking about the features, Ecosense, as the name suggests, is a feature that aids the driver to optimise the drive pattern thereby getting the best out of every litre of fuel. For every drive, the driver gets an Ecoscore out of 100, based on various driving parameters. Also during the drive, the infotainment system keeps displaying the average Ecoscore.

Another interesting feature is the Emergency Call or E-Call which helps the driver’s family members or relatives by making an emergency call to them (similar to Ford’s). It also simultaneously sends a text to the pre-set contact numbers of the ambulance, emergency services and Mahindra customer services. The text will contain the vehicle details and also the location details with a Google maps link.

Android Auto lets a user connect an Android device and access calls, messages, navigation and music via the infotainment system. It comes with a simple user interface and integrated steering controls. Connected Apps will let the user access apps like Gaana, BookMyShow and Zomato, etc. on the infotainment system.

These features aren’t exclusive only to the new XUV500sbut existing XUV500 customers too can get upgraded to these features by paying Rs. 999/-.
