Mahindra 2-wheelers have launched the Rodeo RZ Sports, priced at Rs. 48,930/- (ex-showroom, Karnataka). The Rodeo RZ is powered by an updated 125cc engine which gets dual-curve digital ignition system (DCDI). The Z-Series engine produces a peak power output of 8.1 BHP at 7000 RPM and a peak torque output of 9 Nm at 5500 RPM. Mahindra manufacturers power scooters at its Pithampur facility near Indore. The plant has a production capacity of 1 million units per annum and Mahindra expects to sell 5000 units of the Rodeo every month.

“It is Rs. 2500/- more expensive than the Duro. But it offers additional features like fuel lid for petrol in front, additional colours, basically this is for college goers and the young audience in urban markets,” Mahindra Viren Popli, Senior Vice-President (Strategy and Market development), Mahindra 2-Wheelers, said.

The Rodeo RZ125 delivers an ARAI certified mileage of 59.38 km/l. The engine is manufactured by Taiwan company SYM and the new Rodeo is available at Mahindra 2-Wheeler dealerships from today. The Mahindra Rodeo RZ125 offers features such as front fuel filler, fully digital instrument cluster (with 7 changeable colors for the console), illuminated under seat storage and a 12v mobile charger. The company’s highest selling model is the Duro, which has sold 3.5 lakh units till date and Mahindra expects the Rodeo to continue its strong performance in the scooter market.
