We explain to you the details of the four variants of the upcoming Mahindra Marazzo.

The Mahindra Marazzo will have the right proportions to compete between the Toyota Innova and Maruti Ertiga

The Mahindra Marazzo is one of the most highly anticipated vehicles of 2018. Its shark-inspired design and MPV nature have been getting a lot of attention and the company too is keeping the customers excited by slowly putting out details. But we couldn’t wait and showed you Marazzo’s exteriors in all its flesh. Now, if you have been wondering what equipment will be offered with the MPV, wonder no more as we tell you about that too.

The Mahindra Marazzo will be offered in four variants. The base trim will be called the M2. It will be riding on rather small, 16-inches wheels without wheel caps but that’s how cost cutting is done. The seats will be wrapped in fabric upholstery and not leather. Controls for the AC will be manual and so will be for the ORVMs. You can even say that it is aimed at the taxi fleet owners. Safety will, however, be decent as ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, ISOFIX child mounts and speed sensitive door locking will be standard across the full range.

The M4 variant will sit just above the M2 trim. It too will come with fabric seats and the same 16-inch wheels but they will have a cover on. There will also be USB and auxiliary sockets for the rear passengers while the front passengers will get only a USB socket. The ORVMs will be electrically operated and there will be a rear wiper with washer too. Driver’s seat will be height adjustable to get a proper seating position behind the steering wheel.

Alloy wheels will make an entry with the M6 variant but will still be 16-inch in size. The centre console on this one will now house a 7-inch touch infotainment system and will get wooden inserts. The seat fabric too will be of a better quality and the front seats will have adjustable lumbar support. On the exterior front, there will be projector lights, fog lamps and cornering lamps, just like you see on the Mahindra XUV500. Creature comforts include a remote keyless entry and rear parking sensors.

The Mahindra Marazzo M8 variant will be the one here with all the bells and whistles. It will come with LED daytime running lights and will ride on 17-inch machined alloy wheels. The interiors will also be more premium with leather upholstery, automatic climate control and electrically adjustable ORVMs with an auto folding feature. The 7-inch infotainment will also support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the M8 variant. Cruise control and reverse camera with display add to the ease of driving it. Cooling for the glovebox will be provided along with illumination. There will be dual USB sockets for the front and rear passengers and the doors will have puddle lamps for that added style.

Irrespective of the variant you choose, the Mahindra Marazzo will be powered by a single engine option. This will be a 1.5-litre diesel motor that will output 130 HP and 300 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties will be done by a 6-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission will be offered in due course of time. It will be available in 7 and 8-seater options. Mahindra Marazzo demo cars have started arriving at the dealerships and dealers have even started accepting bookings for an amount of Rs. 10,000/-. The official unveiling of the Marazzo is slated for 3rd September 2018.
