The Mahindra Quanto is all set to receive a facelift and the vehicle has been christened as the Mahindra NuvoSport. The vehicle will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines.

Mahindra seems to be on a vehicle-launching spree! After the TUV300 and KUV100, the automaker is now set to launch the NuvoSport which is nothing but the Quanto facelift. The NuvoSport has been developed and designed in-house by Mahindra and the R&D has been carried out in Chennai. The Mahindra NuvoSport is based on the same platform that the Scorpio uses.

The front fascia of the Mahindra NuvoSport comes with a lot of elements that make the styling look overdone. The headlights and grille have a good design but the small lights above the actual headlights spoil the look of the car. The side profile looks very similar to that of the Quanto and the boxy shape is very much evident.

The rear of the NuvoSport looks better than the Quanto with the redesigned tail lights. Mahindra hasn’t revealed the interiors of the vehicle but we expect the insides to get a lot of changes and feature add-ons over the Quanto too. The NuvoSport will get a new 1.2-litre mHawk 100 petrol engine. Mahindra will also offer an AMT gearbox with the NuvoSport.

The Mahindra NuvoSport is going to be launched on 4th April. We expect the pricing to be between Rs. 6.5-8.5 lakhs and thus it will be slotted just side by side with the TUV300. Buyers might get confused between both the SUVs. While those who are looking for a practical option would pick the TUV300, the younger generation might find the NuvoSport more appealing.
