India is a car loving nation and the people here love to personalize their vehicles with a number of ways such as different accessories, stickers or even custom paint. Automotive manufacturers understand this and offer a range of factory made pieces of accessories to enhance the look of the car and provide some added functionality to the vehicle. Thus we caught an accessorised avatar of the newly launched Mahindra NuvoSport testing on the highway.

A Mahindra NuvoSport has been spied testing kitted with many accessories from the factory. The front of the vehicle gets a chrome treatment with chrome slats for the grille, the fog-lamps enclosure and the bonnet-scoop. The grille is outlined by another piece of chrome surrounding it along with a subtle chrome insert on the line where the lower black portion of the bumper meets the upper white portion. If one looks closely, he can make out the scratched white paint on the bumper suggesting that at some point of time, there was a front bull-bar attached to the car too.

The chrome treatment continues on the side with chrome door handles and blacked out alloy wheels along with sun-visors attached to the doors. Coming to the rear, we can see the chrome rear door handle along with a heavy chunk of chrome on the spare wheel cover surrounding the Mahindra logo. A rear guard also makes an appearance here. Curiously, the tailgate still carried the Quanto badge. In true Mahindra fashion, this chrome package treatment is a subject of personal taste and while many will find the accessories attractive, an equal number of people will say that this makes the vehicle even more ugly and gaudy.

The Mahindra NuvoSport has been launched with a starting price of Rs. 7.35 lakhs. The car is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine which produces 100 BHP of power and 240 Nm of torque. Some features on the Mahindra NuvoSport include micro-hybrid technology, driver information system, Intellipark reverse assist, ABS with EBD, speed sensing auto door lock, dual airbags and digital engine immobiliser.
