Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic Launched, Priced From Rs. 15.45 Lakhs

Mahindra Scorpio N automatic price is Rs. 1.96 lakhs costlier than the manual for each trim, Z4 gets some additional features

After a long wait, Mahindra has launched the automatic variants of the all-new Scorpio N for a price tag starting from Rs. 15.45 lakhs (ex-showroom). However, the automatic transmission is offered only from the Z4 trim.

Each automatic trim from Z4 to Z8 L command a premium of Rs. 1.96 lakhs over the respective manual trim. Also, Mahindra has informed that these prices are introductory and will be applicable only for the first 25,000 bookings.

The automatic variants will get the globally renowned AISIN 6-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the 4WD variants will feature ‘Shift on fly’ system, in addition to category-first intelligent terrain management technology called 4XPLOR.

Like the Automatic, the 4WD variants will be available at an introductory price of Rs. 2.45 lakhs over the respective 2WD variants and will be available only on Z4, Z8, and Z8 L diesel variants.

Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic Price:

The 6-Seater variant will be available in select Z8 L variants at an introductory price of Rs. 20,000/- over the respective 7-seater variants.

Bookings are set to open online and simultaneously at Mahindra dealerships from 30th July, 11 am onwards. Bookings will be done on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis and will also form the basis of delivery dates, depending on the variant chosen by the customer.

The deliveries are set to begin during the forthcoming festive season starting on 26th September. A total of 20,000 units of the SUV are planned for the initial rollout until December.

Based on customer enquiry trends, the production of Z8 L variants has been prioritised to match customer expectations at the time of delivery.

Unfortunately, 4WD system has been given the miss for the petrol automatic variants. In fact, it’s the 2-litre mStallion petrol engine that offers more performance than the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine.

The mStallion puts out 200 HP and 380 Nm and mHawk exerts 172.5 HP and 400 Nm. The 4WD variants feature a part-time 4×4 system in which the power is sent to all 4 wheels only when the condition needed it.

Based on the level of traction on the surface, the Scorpio’s onboard computer automatically activates or deactivates the 4×4 system.
