Mahindra has decided to discontinue AMT variants of the TUV300, only available with 5-speed manual gearbox.

Mahindra TUV300 Facelift Front
AMT was available in the pre-facelift model with T8 & T10 trims

Mahindra has recently introduced a mid-cycle facelift of the TUV300. It comes with a revised X-shaped wheel cover, piano black grille with chrome inserts, smoked out headlamps with DRLs, new body cladding, and clear lens tail lamps.
What’s missing though in the update is the option of an AMT gearbox, which has been removed from the official website.

The AMT gearbox on the TUV300 was previously offered on the T8 and T10 variants. Now, a standard 5-speed manual gearbox will be available across all the 5 trims. The Indian carmaker might have discontinued the AMT option with the TUV300 due to less demand. However, we expect Mahindra to introduce AMT variants with the XUV300.

The TUV300 and XUV300 cater to different audience and the latter is more preferred in the urban markets where customers seek convenience over VFM offering. If the XUV300 along with its loaded features comes with the option of an AMT, it will be a much appealing package. This move will make the XUV300 a relatively stronger competitor to the recently launched Hyundai Venue.

The Mahindra TUV300 is powered by a 1.5-litre mHawk100 diesel engine that churns out 100 HP at 3750 RPM and 240 Nm of torque at 1600-2800 RPM. Only a 5-speed manual transmission is available with this engine now. The interiors of the car remains more or less the same with the update but gets new silver accents. The car also gets micro-hybrid technology, static bending headlamps and a GPS-enabled touchscreen infotainment system.
