The Mahindra XUV300 is getting an electric version soon. The EV will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 next month while the Indian carmaker is planning to launch the electric XUV300 in 2021.

Mahindra is planning to offer the electric XUV300 as a high range vehicle unlike the other cars in their fleet which are mostly meant for the shared mobility space having limited range.

The XUV300 EV is expected to come with a 40 kWh battery pack that will offer a range of up to 300 km on a single charge. The electric motor will produce around 130 HP for the compact SUV.

The Indian automaker is likely to offer two battery packs for the electric XUV300. It will support both AC as well as DC fast charging capabilities. The carmaker will be targeting private buyers with the XUV300 EV.

The Mahindra XUV300 electric vehicle is expected to be priced around Rs. 15 lakhs. It will compete directly with the soon to be launched Tata Nexon EV.
