You read it first on MotorBeam. Mahindra has launched a limited edition, fully loaded variant of their flagship model christened as Mahindra XUV500 Xclusive Edition. The SUV comes with a long list of new features and as per our sources, it’s available in limited numbers and only two units are allotted per dealership across India. The bookings of the Mahindra XUV500 Xclusive Edition have begun and you can book one right away for Rs. 50,000/- (fully refundable).
“Luxury Goes Through The Roof” says Mahindra, as the Xclusive edition comes equipped with an electric sunroof, which we spotted a few days back on a test mule. The list of new features includes 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat (optional), reverse camera, aluminium accented pedals, grey alloy wheels, illuminated scuff plates, voice messaging system, anti-pinch driver side window with one-touch up/down and hydraulic assisted bonnet. Only 700 units of the limited edition XUV500 are made.
The XUV500 Xclusive Edition only comes with FWD W8 variant and not the AWD (all-wheel drive) W8. Also, the limited edition is only offered in the Satin White colour option. There are obviously no changes in the powertrain. The XUV500 is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 140 BHP of power with 330 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Most of the features introduced in the Xclusive Edition are quite useful unlike many carmakers who do a sticker job for their limited edition variants. To give you a perspective, the regular XUV500 FWD W8 version comes at Rs. 14.07 lakhs.
