Maruti Suzuki Alto is not only the highest selling car in India but also the largest selling car in the world in 2010. The Alto’s top spot in the list has made it a first for an Indian car. Maruti Suzuki sold more than 3,00,000 units of the Alto in 2010, which was a 25% increase over 2009. The company expects to sell 4,00,000 units this year, which will ensure it maintains the largest selling car tag in 2011 as well. We hope to see the Tata Nano in this list this year.
