With the ongoing festive season, Maruti Suzuki has launched the Utsav Edition of the Alto 800 hatchback in India, priced at Rs. 3.94 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car only gets cosmetic changes in the form of ORVM mounted indicators, chrome accents on the bumpers and tail-lights, reverse parking sensors and decals on the doors. On the inside, the Alto 800 Utsav Edition gets an all-black upholstery with red accents, door sill guards, and new seat covers.

The hatchback continues to be powered by the same 796cc 3-cylinder petrol motor that produces 48 HP of power and 69 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The small car claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/l.

The Maruti Alto 800 rivals the Renault Kwid, Datsun redi-GO and the Hyundai Eon. If sources are to be believed, Maruti is planning to showcase a new hatchback that will rival the Renault Kwid.
