The Maruti Baleno RS will be launched in India in the coming month.
The Maruti Baleno RS has been spotted testing many times which reveals that the company is gearing up for the launch. The brochure for the Baleno RS has been leaked and the specs sheet show that the car uses the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, BoosterJet engine which is used in the car for the international markets but has been detuned for the Indian market.
It now produces 100 BHP at 5500 RPM and 150 Nm from 1700-4500 RPM. The power has come down by almost 10 BHP compared to the international version. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox which will make the car fun to drive.
The images also reveal that the car will come with disc brakes on all the wheels. The suspension of the car also seems to be on the stiffer side to make the drive feel a lot more sportier. The ground clearance is said to be 114 mm (laden). When launched, the car will compete against the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and the Fiat Punto Abarth.
