This range topping Maruti Ertiga variant will be sold exclusively at NEXA showrooms, launch next year.

The Maruti Ertiga, which was launched on November 21 and is selling across the 2200 Arena dealerships in India, is looking to make its mark like its predecessor. The outgoing Ertiga model sold over 4 lakh units in a span of 6 years. The new Ertiga, which houses more features will also see a sportier version which is expected to be introduced in India next year.

The new Ertiga comes with a ton of new tech to improve the MPV’s fuel efficiency and stability. Some of the winning elements of the car will be the Heartect platform which provides stability, the dual battery-setup which focuses on both powering the car and torque generation and the SHVS technology for maximising the fuel efficiency of the car. The Ertiga has attained a more premium look and now Maruti is planning to make more of this vehicle.

The manufacturer is looking at designing a 6-seater version of the Ertiga and launching it around the middle of next year. It is expected to be the range topping variant for the Ertiga. This new variant is expected to be sportier in terms of looks as compared to the regular model.

Some of the changes we can expect are a new body kit with lip spoiler, aggressive side skirts, newly designed alloy wheels, unique body graphics, LED Projectors, Auto-Dimming IRVM, an integrated spoiler and new colour choices.

While it is uncertain, Maruti might make this variant available only with the 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine. The engine can generate a maximum power of 105 HP and peak torque of 138 Nm. This Ertiga will be made available exclusively at the NEXA showrooms by the middle of next year.
