The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry was the company’s first LCV in India. They introduced the Super Carry across the country in a phased manner starting from 2016.

It was launched with a price tag of Rs. 4.01 lakhs (ex-showroom). Powered by a 793cc, 2-cylinder diesel engine producing 32 BHP at 3500 RPM and 75 Nm at 2000 RPM.

This engine was first introduced in Celerio diesel which was eventually discontinued. Maruti also discontinued the Super Carry diesel a while back.

Now in a bid to achieve their Green Million mission announced at Auto Expo 2020, the Super Carry BS6 CNG is launched. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 5.07 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Maruti claims Super Carry is the first light commercial vehicle to upgrade to BS6 engine. It is powered by the G12B 1.2-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder bi-fuel petrol CNG engine.

It produces 65.21 PS at 6000 RPM and 85 Nm of torque at 3000 RPM. This engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
