Maruti Suzuki plans to offer CNG variants of all its models in the country. India’s largest car manufacturer believes that their next generation CNG technology will not only reduce running cost but will also increase fuel efficiency. However CBUs (the Grand Vitara and Kizashi) won’t be offered in CNG variants. CNG is almost 60% cheaper to run than an equivalent petrol car due to the lower cost of fuel. It is also more environment friendly and Maruti plans to offer it in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and NCR due to the availability of filling stations.
