Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG Specs
The S-CNG variant of the compact SUV should be more efficient though

The launch of the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG should take place soon

Maruti Suzuki is working on a CNG variant of its Vitara Brezza and is expected to launch the model in the market soon.

The country’s top automaker is betting big on CNG tech and aims to sell a CNG variant of all of its small cars in India in the future.

While the Swift hatchback and Dzire compact sedan are set to receive a CNG variant, the Vitara Brezza compact SUV will be joining the bandwagon too.

Recently, a leaked document stated that the Maruti Vitara Brezza CNG will come powered by a 1.5-litre petrol motor that puts out 91 HP and 122 Nm of torque.

The current model of the compact SUV will be replaced by a new one in 2022

This is a reduction of 12 HP and 16 torques in comparison to the petrol-powered variant. However, the car should make up for it by being more wallet-friendly given the high cost of petrol across the nation.

It is expected that Maruti will offer the Vitara Brezza CNG in LXI and VXI variants only, leaving the ZXI and top-of-the-line ZXI+ trim to remain as petrol-only variants.

Since the second-generation Vitara Brezza is expected to be introduced come February 2022, the CNG variant of the current model could be launched pretty soon.
