The Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati has released more details about their upcoming 2012 StreetFighter 848. ‘The Streetfighter 848 delivers pure motorcycle enjoyment with the combination of a brand new, brilliantly engineered 848 Testastretta 11° engine and the enhanced geometry of a frame that ensures agility with confidence-inspiring feel, claims the press release. It also adds that ‘With user-friendliness now enriched by a smooth and flexible power delivery, revised ergonomics and traction control, Ducati’s unique fighter style is set to create more excitement than ever’.

The 2012 StreetFighter is powered by Testastretta L-twin that produces 132 bhp and 92 Nm of torque. Ducati claims that the bike’s silky smooth power delivery combined with a revised chassis and rece-derived 8 level electronic Traction Control System provides unprecendented performance levels. In addition to this, Ducati has also fiddled around with the ergonomics to make it more comfortable. Like for example the handlebars have been made 20 mm higher, footpegs are 10mm wider and the seat has been re-designed. Also, the Streetfighter 848’s fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi forks and fully adjustable Sachs monoshock have been tuned and optimised for all-out high-speed handling.
