Carmakers extending warrant and free service period

MG Motor – MG Motor India is donating Rs. 2 cores in a bid to fight the Coronavirus crisis in the country. The carmaker has pledged this donation towards medical aid, health workers and the underprivileged section of the country.

Ola Cabs – India’s app based cab service providers Ola Cabs are recalling all their leased vehicles amidst the nationwide lockdown. The company is waiving off daily rentals from their driver-partners in this situation of Coronavirus crisis.

Hero Xtreme 160R – Hero MotoCorp was all set to launch the new Hero Xtreme 160R in the country very soon but for obvious reasons of the nationwide lockdown, the Indian bike maker has decided to postpone the launch until further notice.

After Sales – During these tough times of COVID-19 outbreak in the country and a 21 day lockdown, some of the carmakers have decided to extend the warranty period and free service period of the vehicles by up to 4 months. These companies include BMW, Kia, Tata Motors, Hyundai and more.

Motor Trivia – Did you know, the iconic Volkswagen Beetle Type 1 was designed by Ferdinand Porsche in 10 months.
