MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 has been launched at a price of Rs. 18.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). In the international market, the motorcycle is available in 4 variants – Turismo Veloce 800, Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso, Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso SCS, and Turismo Veloce RC SCS. The bike competes with the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx and the Ducati Multistrada 950 and joins its brothers, Brutale 800 and F3 800 in the company’s lineup.

The Italian beauty takes cues from its elder cousins and looks gorgeous and sporty with aggressively flowing lines and semi faired look but, don’t be fooled by its sporty appearance. The bike features an easy-to-reach single unit handlebar and good ergonomics which make it a comfortable tourer. The company describes the bike as the ‘everyday F3’. It is said to be the perfect combination of sporty and touring souls.

The bike boasts of a 798cc, in-line triple-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The party piece of this engine is the counter-rotating crankshaft motor which allows it to reach a top speed of 230 km/hr while generating 110 PS of maximum power along with 80 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch as standard. The bike is built around a steel trellis frame and suspension duties are handled by Marzoochhi USD forks at the front and Sachs monoshock at the rear. With great acceleration power, comes great stopping power and thus the bike features twin 320 mm disc brakes at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. Making contact with the road are 17-inch, 120-section and 190-section tires at the front and rear respectively.

Apart from all the mechanical bits, the bike features several safety aids and convenience features as well. The bike is equipped with an electronically controlled suspension setup, 8-level traction control, rear-wheel lift-up mitigation, heated grips, cruise control and panniers. The bike also features a full coloured TFT display which shows a variety of information about the bike.
