Nissan betting big on their potential game changing compact SUV.

Nissan Compact SUV Teased
Styling will be one of the biggest USPs of the Magnite

Nissan is on their toes to introduce their new compact SUV Magnite. The car is expected to come with an aggressive price starting from Rs. 5.25 lakhs (ex-showroom).

While the COVID-19 crisis has delayed all the launches, Nissan is likely to introduce the Magnite by August 2020 itself. Based on the CMF-A+ platform, the Magnite will be offered with many first in segment features.

Initially the Japanese carmaker was planning to introduce the Magnite under Datsun brand. Now that they have decided to discontinue the brand, the Magnite will be launched with a Nissan badge.

The styling of the Magnite is expected to be its most distinguished element. It will also be offered with dual tone colour options. The teaser image already reveals the LED tail light of the compact SUV.

While it will compete with the Maruti Vitara Brezza, the Magnite will have more of a crossover design than the upright and boxy stance of the Maruti.

Some of the first in segment features will include a huge touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, 360-degree camera, alloy wheels, etc.

Nissan will be offering the Magnite with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with 5-speed manual and AMT for the basic variants and 1.0-litre turbo engine for the range topping models with 5-speed MT and CVT auto transmission options.

Even the range topping model of the Nissan Magnite is expected to be priced under Rs. 6 lakhs (ex-showroom).
