Malaysian automaker Perodua is showcasing its Myvi and Bezza vehicles in Chennai.

At the ongoing 8th edition of the International Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS) in Chennai, the Malaysian automaker Perodua is showcasing its two cars, the Myvi and Bezza. Perodua currently exports vehicles to a few Asian markets, namely Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Nepal as well as Fiji in Oceania.

The Perodua Bezza was launched in July 2016, in the international market and falls under the A-segment class of vehicles. It is underpinned by the company’s Axia platform measures 4150 mm in length, 1620 mm in width and 1510 mm in height with a 2455 mm wheelbase. In the Malaysian market, the Bezza comes with two engine options, the 1KR-VE 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol engine that produces 67 HP of power and 91 Nm of torque and the 1NR-VE 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine that produces 94 HP of power and 121 Nm of torque. Both the engines can be mated to either a 4-speed automatic gearbox or a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Bezza is priced at RM 34,490/- (Rs. 5.82 lakhs).

The Perodua Myvi is in its 2nd generation phase, that was introduced in November 2017 and falls under the B-segment class of vehicles. It is 3895 mm long, 1735 mm wide and 1515 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2500 mm. The engine options available for the vehicle is a 1.3-litre petrol engine from the Bezza and the 2NR-VE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine that produces 76 kW of power and 137 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the vehicle 5-speed manual for the 1.3-litre petrol engine and a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The Myvi is priced at RM 42,790/- (Rs. 7.22 lakhs).
