Piaggio Vehicles has launched its new Ape E-City Ultra and Ape E-City FX Maxx. These electric three-wheelers aim to strengthen the brand’s last-mile mobility segment with advanced technology and performance.
Ape E-City Ultra: Battery Performance
The Apé E-City Ultra features a robust full-metal body and a 10.2 kWh LFP battery. The E-City Ultra produces 12.8 HP and 45 NM of torque. It has a top speed of 55 Km/hr, ensuring faster trips and improved efficiency.
Ape E-City Ultra: Range & Charging
The vehicle boasts a 28% gradeability, which makes it ideal for use on flyovers and hilly roads. Climb Assist Mode gives extra power when needed. A 3 kW charger enables faster charging with less downtime during daily operations. The Ape E-City Ultra delivers a range of 236 Km.
Ape E-City FX Maxx: Battery Performance
The Apé E-City FX Maxx is Piaggio’s enhanced electric three-wheeler with an 8.0 kWh battery pack. The E-City FX Maxx produces 9.9 HP and 30 NM of torque. The electric 3-wheeler boasts a 19% gradeability.
Ape E-City FX Maxx: Battery Range
The Ape E-City FX Maxx’s battery utilises prismatic cell technology, which enhances battery life. Smart energy monitoring minimises degradation over time, thereby improving reliability and extending battery performance under various conditions. It delivers a certified range of 174 Km.
Warranty
The vehicles come with a 5-year or 225,000 km category-leading warranty. The digital speedometer shows SOC, range, speed, and alerts. Smart 4G telematics incorporates live tracking, geofencing, and remote immobilisation for added control.

The Apé E-City Ultra is priced at ₹388,000 ex-showroom. The Apé E-City FX Maxx starts at ₹330,000 ex-showroom in India. Piaggio dealerships across the country now offer both models.
