Porsche has introduced the all-electric Cayenne in India with prices starting at Rs. 1.76 crores (ex-showroom). The SUV is being offered in two variants – Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric – with bookings now open. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.
Variants and Pricing
- Two trims on offer: Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric
- Prices start at Rs. 1.76 crore for the base model and Rs. 2.26 crore for the Turbo
(All prices ex-showroom, India)
Powertrain and Performance
Both versions use a 113kWh battery and a dual-motor AWD configuration.
- Cayenne Turbo Electric: 1156 HP and 1150 Nm, 0-100 km/hr in 2.5 seconds, top speed limited to 260 km/hr, claimed range of 623 km
- Cayenne Electric: 408 HP and 835 Nm, 0-100 km/hr in 4.8 seconds, top speed capped at 230 km/hr, claimed range of 642 km
The Turbo variant can recuperate up to 816 HP during braking, while Porsche says around 97 percent of braking tasks can be handled by the motors alone. The Cayenne Electric is also the first Porsche to offer an optional 11kW wireless charging system.
Chassis and Dynamics
Adaptive air suspension is standard on both trims. Rear-axle steering is available as an option and can turn the rear wheels by up to 5 degrees to improve agility and low-speed manoeuvrability.
Exterior Design
The Cayenne Electric follows the familiar silhouette of the ICE-powered Cayenne but incorporates EV-specific elements. The front gets a blanked-off grille and functional air vents for cooling the battery and power electronics. The Turbo model features more prominent openings.
Active aero elements are integrated into the lower bumper section, and buyers can choose from 20- to 22-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the SUV sports a full-width LED light bar with illuminated Porsche lettering and redesigned bumpers. The Turbo variant receives a body-coloured skid plate, while the standard model gets a black finish.
Dimensionally, the Cayenne Electric is 55 mm longer than the combustion version and rides on a 3023 mm wheelbase, which is 130 mm longer. Practicality is aided by a 90-litre frunk and a 781-litre boot, expandable to 1588 litres with the rear seats folded.
Interior and Features
Inside, the layout is similar to the standard Cayenne but features updated tech. A new 14.5-inch curved central touchscreen makes its debut, accompanied by a digital instrument cluster. Buyers can option a 14.9-inch passenger display and an AR-enabled head-up display.
Standard equipment includes:
- 8-way powered front seats (upgradeable to 18-way)
- Four-zone climate control
- Ventilated front seats
- Panoramic sunroof
- Wireless phone charger
Audio options include a 14-speaker Bose system or an optional 20-speaker Harman Kardon setup.
