The Pulsar CS 400 has been spied yet again, near Aamby valley. This time however, the bike was caught in action on a rider’s GoPro. The video footage gives us an idea of the bike’s exhaust note and riding posture.

The Pulsar CS 400 is expected to be launched by this festive season

As the launch date for the Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 nears, more and more spy shots have been emerging due to the extensive testing carried out by Bajaj. The CS 400 seems to be in the news every other week. This time however, we have video footage rather than photos, which will give us additional information pertaining to the riding posture and even the exhaust note if one concentrates hard enough.

The bike was spied near Aamby Valley on a rider’s GoPro. The footage shows the riding position to be a tad sporty, yet looks comfortable. It resembles the riding posture of the Pulsar 200 NS. We can also see that the bike gets an all-black exhaust like the one showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. The exhaust sounds very close to that of the KTM Duke 390, with the typical 2-stroke like hollow sound. Whether the Pulsar CS 400 being tested gets ABS rings or not is difficult to spot.

We also get a clearer view of the tank which looks muscular and well in proportion to the dimensions of the bike. The Diavel look alike rear tail light and the aluminium finished pillion grab handles can be clearly seen, which do not seem to be covered in camouflage. The rear mud-guard looks like a 2-piece unit like the one seen on the Suzuki Gixxer. Bajaj seems to have done away with the rear tyre hugger for good (or the test bike isn’t using one). The front disc looks similar in design and size to the one seen on the 200 NS.

The front headlight unit still evades the prying eyes of the cameras as nothing could be noted from the video footage. The Pulsar CS 400 is expected to be launched by the festive season or before the end of this year. The motorcycle is rumoured to be priced at Rs. 1.9 lakhs (on-road Mumbai).
