Jaguar has launched the XE Prestige in India and this trim is positioned between the Pure and Portfolio trims. The XE Prestige comes with the same 2.0-litre petrol engine.

Jaguar XE Review
The Jaguar XE Prestige comes with more goodies than the Pure variant

The Jaguar XE was launched in the luxury sedan segment recently and the automaker has been offering the vehicle with a petrol engine in two trims – Pure and Portfolio. Jaguar has now expanded the product line-up by launching the Prestige trim of the XE. The XE Prestige is slotted between the Pure and Portfolio trims and it is priced at Rs. 43.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai, pre-octroi).

The Jaguar XE Prestige is powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 197 HP of power at 5500 RPM and 320 Nm of torque at 1750 RPM. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the XE gets Jaguar Drive Control, Hill Start Assist, EPAS and Dynamic Stability Control.

Apart from that, the Prestige variant also comes with goodies like a sliding sunroof, Taurus leather seats with memory function for the driver’s seat, interior mood lighting, 360 Watt Meridian sound system and a rear view camera. The XE also gets other features like All Surface Progress Control, Torque Vectoring by Braking, etc.

The luxury sedan segment is witnessing too much competition. With the Mercedes C-Class being the leader here, rivals are leaving no stone unturned to gather in more sales. While BMW has launched a petrol variant of the 3-Series, Jaguar has added a new variant to the XE line-up. We are all now waiting for Audi to come up with the new A4 in India.
